Onitsha aglow as construction technician, others receive Glo Festival of Joy prizes.

For 30-year-old Chukwuemeka Chikezie, life is on a happy rebound as the limb-impaired construction technician became the owner of a brand new car, courtesy of Glo Festival of Joy promo.

The young man lost the use of his left arm as a result of a job related mishap he suffered in 2019. To compound his woes, Chukwuemeka lost his father in the aftermath of the unfortunate accident. In spite of this double jeopardy, he however resolved never to become a burden to the society making him to dust up his determination to succeed in life.

He was one of the scores of winners who emerged in the Onitsha edition of Globacom’s customer reward promo. While he won a brand new Kia Car, others went home with Power Generating sets, Sewing Machines and Rechargeable Fans.

Chukwuemeka found it hard to believe that his life had been transformed until keys to the car were handed to him at a ceremony which held at the Gloworld shop at the Conoil station along Onitsha Bridgehead on Wednesday.

Said he, “If anyone had told me yesterday that I would be a car owner today, I would never have believed”, he said, adding that “I love the Glo network very well and I have always depended on it for my calls and data needs”.

A generator winner, Anielue Arinze, also disclosed that he never expected such luck at this time. He disclosed that the generator will be very useful for him, especially in the absence of regular electricity supply while Ezeji Uzoma Noble, who won a Sewing Machine thanked Globacom for the opportunityof winning the prize.

In the same vein, The Transition Chairman, Onitsha South Local Govt Area, Anambra State, Hon. Emeka Orji, expressed happiness that the event was held within his jurisdiction as he gave kudos to Globacom for instituting the promo.

One of the guests at the event, Hon. (Mrs) Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche, representing Onitsha South 2 Constituency, Anambra State House of Assembly, revealed that her first number upon returning to Nigeria some years ago, was a Glo number. She lauded Globacom for its support to its subscribers through its many life transforming consumer promos.

A senior official of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Mr Ezelue Nnamdi, said at the ceremony that the Commission was pleased with Globacom for its transparency in the conduct of the promo draws and the presentation of prizes to winner.

Glo brand influencers, Ebube Nwagbo and Stephen Odimgbe (Flashboy) both seized the opportunity of the presentation ceremony to encourage more people to join the Glo network in order to enjoy the wide array of competitive products and services it offers in addition to the amazing benefits from its consumer promos.
