American rapper Lil Nas X, famous for his hit song “Old Town Road,” has been taken to the hospital in Los Angeles following an incident that may involve drug use, according to a report from TMZ on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
The 26-year-old, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, gained worldwide fame after his song became incredibly popular in 2019, earning him two Grammy Awards.
TMZ reported that police received several calls around 4 a.m. about a man wandering around erratically on Ventura Boulevard. The man was later recognized as Lil Nas X, who was seen wearing just his underwear and cowboy boots while putting a traffic cone on his head.
Witnesses told TMZ that he seemed confused and was saying he was trying to get to a party. When officers approached him, he reportedly reacted by charging at them, which led to his arrest for hitting a police officer. He was then taken to a hospital for a health check.
