Tragedy in Thailand: Nigerian-British Influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo Dies After Penis Enlargement Procedure

A cosmetic procedure intended to improve his appearance tragically resulted in the death of Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, following a penis enlargement treatment in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ubiribo, 43, also known as Denisi and Ego online, reportedly underwent the procedure in March while on vacation in Thailand with his wife, fashion designer and socialite Danielle Simba Allen.

During an inquest at the Inner West London Coroners’ Court, evidence revealed that approximately 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected into his penis at an unnamed Thai clinic. 

Shortly after the procedure, Ubiribo and his wife went for a massage. During this session, he experienced chest pain and fainted twice. He was quickly taken to Sukhumvit Hospital in Bangkok, where doctors suspected a pulmonary embolism and planned a CT scan. However, his condition rapidly deteriorated, and he lost consciousness before the scan could be performed. Medical staff reportedly performed CPR for over 100 minutes, but he died early on March 6. 

A postmortem in the UK reportedly found material in his lungs consistent with hyaluronic acid used in the procedure. Coroner Jean Harkin concluded that the cosmetic treatment caused a fatal pulmonary embolism, which is a blockage of blood vessels in the lungs. 

Ubiribo had gained a substantial social media following, with estimates of around 185,000 followers on Instagram. He was known for showcasing a luxurious lifestyle and reportedly owned property in London and Los Angeles. He married Danielle Simba Allen in Zimbabwe in 2022.

His death has underscored the growing male cosmetic-enhancement industry and the serious risks associated with procedures that may seem relatively simple.
