Why Killer Mike Was Arrested at GRAMMYS After His Wins

The 2024 Grammy Awards come with different vibes and stories. However, Rapper Killer Mike was taken away in handcuffs Sunday at Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles after winning three Grammys.

Hours later, the Los Angeles Police Department took to X (formerly Twitter) to share more information about the incident.

“On Sunday, Feb. 4th, just after 4 pm, a male adult was detained and handcuffed for a physical altercation that occurred at the 700 block of Chick Hearn Court,” the account wrote.

“The suspect was arrested and transported to LAPD Central Division.”

The department identified the suspect as 48-year-old Michael Render, Killer Mike’s legal name, adding that the performer was “booked for Misdemeanor Battery 243(A) PC and is in the process of being released.”
