Sad News: U.S.-Based Juju Singer King Rokan is Dead

Richard Olorunrokan Adekola, known professionally as King Rokan, a U.S.-based Juju singer, has passed away. The Nigerian-American artist, who resided in Atlanta, Georgia, died this morning, Monday, January 13, 2025.

Details regarding the cause of his death are limited, but the announcement has brought immense sadness to his fans and the music community both home and abroad.

In addition to his music career, King Rokan was the CEO of the Rokan Adekola Foundation. He left behind a legacy of several albums and musical projects, including “Oba Ti De” and “Ilara.”

He’s survived by wife and children.
