A Federal high court sitting in Lagos has fixed 17th of November, 2025 for the trial of a Lagos business man ALHAJI RASAK SHOTUNDE and his company RASATECH ENGINEERING COMPANY LIMITED for advanced fee fraud to commence.
According to a nine count charge filed before the court on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, by Police legal officer Barrister M. A. Animashaun from Legal Department of Force Criminal Investigation Department Alagbon, Ikoyi Lagos, it was allegedly stated that:
ALHAJI RASAK SHOTUNDE (M) and RASATECH ENGINEERING COMPANY LIMITED sometimes between the 27th day of September,2021 to the 6th day of July, 2022 within the Jurisdiction of the Honourable Court conspired to commit an Offence to wit: Obtaining Money by False Pretence and thereby committed an Offence contrary to Section 8 (a) of the Advance Fee Frauds and Other Frauds Related Offences Act 2006 (as amended) and punishable under Section 1 (3) of same Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act 2006 (as amended).
It was further alleged that ALHAJI RASAK SHOTUNDE (M) and RASATECH ENGINEERING COMPANY LIMTED between 27th of September, 2021 and 6th day of July, 2022 within the Jurisdiction of the Honourable Court with intent to defraud obtained total sum of N332 Million payment of deposit paid into your ACCESS BANK PLC ACCOUNT NUMBER 0043396144 by one Folashade Balogun, owner of Redbricks Homes International Limited Amen Estate Phase 2, Eleko Beach, Lagos State under the pretence of installing a dedicated 7.5MVA 33/11 feeder from Ajah TCN/EKEDC Injection station to power the Estate and thereby committed an Offence contrary to Section 1(1) (a) of the Advance Fee Frauds and Other Frauds Related Offences Act 2006 (as amended) and punishable under Section 1 (3) of same Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act 2006 (as amended).
