NBA SURULERE ELECTS NEW MEMBERS

The newly created Nigerian Bar Association, Surulere Branch, held its maiden election last Friday, 12th of July, 2024 at its Secretariat located at No.14 Babatunde Street, off Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos State. The clection was conducted by the Caretaker Committee of the new Branch which doubled as the Electoral Committee under the Chairmanship of Mr. Adeleke Agboola SAN. The election was hitch-free, seamless and successful.

At the end of voting, the following winners emerged.

2. Vice-Chairman-     Henry Obinna Ezeanyim Esq. (Unopposed)

3. Secretary-           Enomma Umoren Mbanugo Esq.

4. Assistant Secretary-Raqeeba Oloko Esq. (Unopposed)

5. Treasurer-          Maureen Ogochukwu Umejiego Est (Unopposed)

6. Financial Secretary-Salami Tajudeen Aghaje Esq (Unopposed)

7. Welfare Secretary-  Felicia Chikere Nosike Esq (Unopposed)

8. Publicity Secretary-Okuwobi Olusela Mayowa Esq (Unopposed)

9. Social Secretary Florence Elwutasi Chajioke Daru Eng (Unopposed)

10. Provost   Kingsley Enim Ehimar Eng (Unopposed)

The Chairman of the Carectaker Committee who doubled as the Chairman of the Electoral Committee thanked NBA Surulere Branch electorates for their co-operation in the peaceful conduct of the election.He congratulated the winners and urged them to be magnanimous in victory.He equally appreciated the losers for their gallantry in loss,noting that failure is a postponed success.

     Mr. Agboola further thanked the estwhile Surulere Lawyers’ Forum for a smooth transition from a forum to a Branch which culminated in the election.He wished the new NBA Surulere Branch Executives a very successful and impactful tenure.
