Music Maestro K1 De Ultimate Receives New Chieftaincy Title in Mother’s Hometown Ilupeju Ekiti

World famous veteran singer Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has been bestowed with the esteemed title of Balogun of Ilupeju Ekiti.

This honour was conferred upon him by His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Awe, The Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti, in a grand ceremony held today, February 8, 2025.

This recognition is a testament to K1’s enduring impact on Nigerian culture and a nod to his roots, as his late mother, Alhaja Halimat Shadia Anifowoshe, was a princess from Ilupeju-Ekiti.
