Breaking: Godwin Emefiele Gets N50m Bail

A bail of N50 million was granted to former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, in Lagos on Friday.

Emefiele, who was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) last week, has been granted bail on the condition of two sureties in like sum.

Justice Rahmon Oshodi of a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja gave the ruling on Emefiele’s bail application on Friday.

He is facing a fresh 26-count charge bordering on alleged abuse of office and irregular allocation of $4.5 billion and N2.8 billion, respectively.
