Sensational Juju-Gospel Musician, Voice of Georgia, King Rokan Dazzles at Egbe Omo Yoruba 28th National Convention, in Atlanta

It was the 28th National convention of Egbe Omo Yoruba North America in Atlanta over the weekend. The event gathered the who is who in society.

A statement of felicitation was received from the governor of the state, Brian P. Kemp, who welcomed the group as the host state, the State of Georgia.

Egbe Omo Yoruba North America is an association of Yoruba ethnic groups from southwest Nigeria. This association’s members predominantly live in the United States and Canada. Membership in Egbe has remained free since its inception, and the contributions to finance and community development activities are voluntary. Egbe Omo Yoruba North America, a.k.a. the National Association of Yoruba Descendants in North America, has been in existence since July 19, 1994 – twenty-eight years to be precise.

This year’s convention also witnessed a change of power as a new president, Ecos, was elected, and awards were given to members and members’ families. An election was conducted the Friday before the convention and was smooth, free, fair, and credible. The electoral committee and the chairman, Agba Akin Oladapo, did an excellent job.

However, the event was colourful, with a stunning performance by talented and sensational Juju-Gospel musician Voice Of Georgia, King Rokan (VOGA). Rokan, as he fondly called, just released an 8 -track album titled; Cornerstone, which features the likes of Atorise, Dare Melody, and Adegbodu Twins.

Voice of Georgia, as expected, dazzled all members and fun seekers at the just concluded convention as dollars rained on him.
