Sad: Veteran Nollywood Actress Orisabunmi Dies at 60 (Photo)

Veteran Nollywood star actress, Folake Aremu aka Orisabunmi is dead.

The report of her demise made the rounds on social media today, January 6, 2021.

However, the cause of her death is yet to be ascertained but it was said that she had died during the night.

A colleague of hers, Tunde Ola-Yusuf, took to his social media page to mourn the veteran star. According to him, she left without a goodbye.

He added that the death was a shock to everyone and prayed for her soul to rest among those of the righteous.

He wrote:

“ADIEU. She left without a Good bye. The sudden death of Mrs Fokake Aremu (ORISABUNMI) has been announced.

“Really a shock on everyone Iya Oosa, may God rest your Soul among the righteous. R I P”

The actress who was said to be born on October 10, 1960, was discovered by her former husband, Chief Jimoh Aliu, in the 80s while he worked as a teacher in Kwara state.

She reportedly got her stage name after she appeared in a stage play called Ori Ma Binu and she played the role of Orisabunmi.
