Poco Lee Back in UK Court After Bail as Sexual Offence Case Continues

Popular Nigerian dancer and hypeman Iweh Pascal Odinaka, widely known as Poco Lee, is expected back before Snaresbrook Crown Court in London today, September 15, as proceedings continue in the sexual offence case against him.

The latest development comes after the UK court confirmed that Poco Lee was granted bail on September 11, 2026, ending weeks of uncertainty over whether the entertainer was still being held in custody.

His release on bail, however, does not mean the charges have been dropped or that the case has ended. The UK Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed that the prosecution remains active.

Poco Lee faces five charges — one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.

What Happens in Court Today?

Today’s proceeding is a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing (PTPH), not the trial itself. At this stage, the court deals with the defendant’s plea and other arrangements necessary to prepare the case for trial.

The hearing is expected to provide greater clarity on the direction of the case, including Poco Lee’s plea and the timetable for further proceedings.

Reports circulating on social media had claimed that the complainant withdrew the case or that an out-of-court settlement had been reached. However, those claims have not been confirmed, while UK prosecutors have maintained that the case remains active.

Poco Lee has publicly denied the allegations and maintained his innocence. In a recent conversation with social commentator VeryDarkMan, the dancer said he remained confident because he knew he had not committed the offences alleged against him.

The case has attracted considerable attention among Nigerians at home and abroad, particularly because Poco Lee is one of the country’s best-known dancers and has worked closely with several leading Afrobeats stars.

For now, Poco Lee is on bail, but the case is far from over. All eyes will be on Snaresbrook Crown Court for the outcome of today’s proceedings and what comes next.

Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence. The charges remain allegations and will be determined through the UK judicial process.
