Moroccan-American Star, MC French Montana Takes Centrestage on CNN African Voices

This week, CNN African Voices Changemakers sponsored Nigeria’s total telecommunications services provider, Globacom will feature Moroccan-American hip-hop artiste, M.C French Montana.

Born on November 9, 1984, Karim Kharbouch popularly known by his stage name, MC French Montana has garnered 41 platinum singles to his credit in his flourishing career.

At the age of 13, he emigrated with his family to the United States where after many years he founded Coke Boys Records and its predecessor Cocaine City Records. In 2012, he signed a joint-venture record deal with Puff Daddy’s Bad Boy Records and Rick Ross’s Maybach.

He had manycollaborations with famous Rick Ross and his hit track, “Quarter to Eight” was the first of much collaboration with Rick Ross who is also a legendary musical artiste. Some of the awards he won include Best Club Banger Award, won at the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2013, followed by his double nominations in the Best Rap Song Category in 2016 and another nomination for the Best Rap Performance at the Grammy Awards in 2017

This exciting 30-minute magazine programme comes up on DSTV Channel 401 on Saturday at 2:00p.m with repeat editions on Sunday at 4.30a.m and 7.30p.m. The edition will again be repeated next week Saturday at 12.30p.m, 4.30a.m and Sunday at 7.30p.m.
