BREAKING: Governor Rotimi Akeredolu Dies

The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, is dead.

Mr Akeredolu died at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday at a German hospital where he was receiving treatment, a senior government official in Ondo State revealed to reporters.

He died of leukaemia and prostate cancer, two ailments that had made him incapacitated for several months.

Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu CON SAN is a Nigerian lawyer and politician who is the current governor of Ondo State in office since 24 February 2017. As of 12 December 2023, Akeredolu died on 27th December 2023 with cause of death being leukaemia.

His adopted prefix is “Arakunrin”, while his nickname is “Aketi”
