The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primary which is holding in Abuja today is now between Vice President Osinbajo and Tinubu.
Senator Kabiru Gaya, a former Governor of Kano State, informed Channels TV that the number of aspirants which had been decreased from five, as reported by ENigeria Newspaper hours ago, to three, had been further lowered to two persons moments ago.
Senator Kabiru Gaya, when asked who the two people are, said Tinubu and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo are the two people he can confirm.
You would recall that earlier in the day, after an all-night meeting with President Buhari at Aso Rock, APC governors submitted the names of five presidential aspirants to President Muhammadu Buhari to select a consensus candidate from.
The names, submitted were that of the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti State), Rotimi Amaechi, former Minister of Transportation, and Governor Dave Umahi (Ebonyi State).
“Going by the above development, it means the plan to install Senate president Ahmad Lawal as APC consensus candidate by APC chairman, Adamu has failed”.
