The Vice Chancellor of Bowen University, Professor Jonathan Oyebamiji Babalola, has lauded Globacom for being consistent with the provision of digital services to the University over the past several years.
Prof Babalola made this remark when he received a team from Globacom’s Enterprise Business Group at a business meeting in his office at the University in Iwo, Osun state.
The VC expressed delight in doing business with Globacom and urged the company to continue to provide uninterrupted services to the institution.
He also requested the company to support BOWEN University through various CSR projects that will assist the university in the area of delivery of its mandate of producing better products and also move the institution forward.
In his remark, Adeniyi Odejobi, the Enterprise Business Lead described Globacom Ltd as not only a telecommunications company but a digital solutions company and the largest integrated telecommunications service provider in Nigeria servicing Enterprises, SME’s, Big Sized Corporates, Public Sector Organisations, Universities and millions of individuals all over Nigeria.
Adeniyi stated that Glo had for over two decades pioneered revolutionary changes in the telecommunications industry in Nigeria, adding that Glo is primarily responsible for the massive telephone penetration that the country has witnessed over the decades. “Because of Globacom, every Nigerian today can afford a telephone line”, he noted.
Adeniyi also stated that Globacom equally pioneered numerous innovations which have contributed to the revolutionary changes witnessed in the Nigerian telecommunications industry including the construction of Globacom’s wholly owned international submarine cable, Glo 1.
Adeniyi urged the university to expand its partnership with Glo on the provision of digital services like Glo LMS, Toll-Free Data and Mobility services to take the institution to the next level.
