According to family source, elder statesman and founder of Kakanfo Inn and Conference Centre, Ibadan, Chief Lekan Are, is dead.

He died this morning, Saturday, January 18th, 2020 in the Oyo State capital.

Chief Are, also a director in The Punch newspaper died at the High Dependency Unit (HDU) of the University College Hospital, Ibadan.

Chief Are who was born on December 2, 1933, died around 12.30 am on Saturday.

Chief Are who hails from Oyo State attended Government College, Ibadan (GCI) for his primary education.
