In his words: “Although the Super Eagles are doing well at the moment, there is still need for the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and the national team coach, Gernot Rohr to properly access our local league for local players that can be invited to the Super Eagles team.
“I believe that there are talents there who can replace our aging players. What they need is an opportunity to prove themselves and build their confidence” he said.
Akamagwuna also called for the rejuvenation of the moribund Principals Cup football competition for Secondary Schools explaining that, it is a
viable platform for the discovery of raw talents and an effective tool for football development in the country.
