Despite all odds, Nigerian Pharmacist, and Politician Olujimi Kolawole Agbaje has officially declared his intention to contest in the 2019 Lagos State gubernatorial election on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), after losing to incumbent, Akinwunmi Ambode, in 2015.

Various social, political and cultural groups gathered as Agbaje, for the 2019 election kicked off his campaign.

The crowd came from different localities in the state including Ajegunle, Mushin, Ikorodu, Agege, Badagry, Ikeja and several other areas to witness the grand event in Lekki Lagos.

At the interactive session on Saturday, Dec., 1st, the PDP candidate promised to restore the dignity of Lagos and give the residents the much-desired freedom to determine their fate rather than being muzzled by a Godfather as it has been the case in the last 20 years.

Agbaje, however, assured that the thrust of his administration will be anchored on believability, power and healthcare.

During his declaration, JK has he’s fondly called revealed that, 1,000 megawatts of power would be targeted in four years to strengthen and boost the economic fortunes of the people. He added that the foundation of his health care program would be built around health insurance plans.

The PDP candidate also promised to restore the glory and level of education in the state by offering a more accessible education system to quality education as opposed to the currently ineffective system.

He also used the opportunity to introduce his deputy, Mrs. Haleemat Oluyemisi Busari and promised that they would “carry the load together” instead of the culture of making the deputy a “spare tyre”.

The duo promised to hold more town-hall meetings in the days ahead to engage supporters and voters on the programmes for the state.

Meanwhile, before his statement on Saturday morning, thugs went to Island and destroyed all JK posters on third mainland bridge, Lekki, Ajah and its surroundings, but that did not stop the launch of the campaign.
